Damodar Kunda (Lake) 4890meter

 

Damodar Kunda is a very important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. It is  adjacent to Nepal – China border. There are three small lakes at an elevation of 4890 meters. Only few Nepalese pilgrims have visited the area. The first Indian is shree Ved Vyas Acharya who explored the Damodar Kunda in September 1997 and he hailsis from Santacruz west, Mumbai, Soon after completion of his yatra his honorable guruji (teacher) Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevothan Mutth has been in the pilgrim with his few entourage. One has to walk along with sacred river of Kaligandaki where the (Saligrams), symbol of Lord Vishnu can be found.

Day 01 Early morning fly to Jomsom from Pokhara easy walk to kagbeni.

Day 02 Kagbeni - Chhusang (ascends)

Day 03 Chhusang - Paa (ascends)

Day 04 Paa - Devikhola (ascends)

Day 05 Devikhola - Yara (ascends)

Day 06 Yara- Ghaimu (steep climb)

Day 07 Ghimu - Damodarkunda(steep climb)

It will take four day to back to Jomsom then fly to Pokhara
